While these symptoms can feel overwhelming, we can navigate this new chapter with strength and vitality. Our program is designed to help you not only manage but thrive through menopause by harnessing the power of the six pillars of health and fitness. This comprehensive approach, rooted in the principles of lifestyle medicine, focuses on creating sustainable habits that will support your well-being long after the last hot flash. 

Join me each Wednesday, 6:30pm -7:30pm, throughout October, at Our Lady and St. Joseph Parish Hall, Alcester and learn how you can build the tools to live better and thrive at this transitional time of life.

The Six Pillars of Menopausal Health

Our program is built on the following six key areas, each vital for promoting menopausal wellness:


- Physical Activity: Regular exercise, including a combination of cardiovascular, strength, flexibility, and balance training, can help manage weight, improve bone density, reduce hot flashes, and boost mood.
- Nutrition: A balanced diet rich in whole foods, lean proteins, healthy fats, and fibre is crucial for managing symptoms, supporting bone health, and maintaining a healthy weight.
- Stress Management: Techniques like mindfulness, deep breathing, and meditation can help regulate cortisol levels, reduce anxiety, and improve sleep quality.
Sleep: Prioritising consistent, restorative sleep is essential for hormonal balance, cognitive function, and overall well-being.
- Social Connection: Strong social bonds and a supportive community can significantly reduce feelings of isolation and improve mental health.
- Avoiding Risky Substances: Limiting alcohol and quitting smoking are critical for reducing the severity of menopausal symptoms and lowering the risk of chronic diseases.
